Are you able to access other websites with no problem, but you cannot access re:Search? Are you able to access re:Search, but it moves too slowly? Perhaps there's only part of re:Search you can't access, or you get an error message like "toga.yourstate.gov took too long to respond" (or something similar) when trying to add a payment account?
This may be caused by several factors. If no outage is occurring on Tyler Technologies' end, then the problem may lie with your local Internet infrastructure or network settings.
Are you filing at work or at home? Does your work network include a virtual private network (VPN), a particularly restrictive firewall, or some other security measure that interfaces with the workplace's Internet connection? These security measures could interfere with your Internet connection speeds or prevent you from being able to access re:Search at all.
Are you filing at home? Is your Wi-Fi signal strong? Are your firewall settings (for either the firewall on your computer or, if present, one that may be installed on your modem/router) too restrictive? You may need to change your home network settings/configuration or restart your modem/router.
Try the following troubleshooting steps to narrow down the problem:
- Try refreshing the webpage in your browser. You may have experienced a momentary problem, like a brief server error that has already been resolved or a slight interruption in your Internet connection.
- Try accessing re:Search via a different browser.
- If the website's menu is not loading properly or does not contain all the details it should have, your browser is probably out of date. Update your browser to the latest version to resolve the issue.
- Run a network speed test via speedtest.net, speedof.me, or a similar Internet speed test service to determine if your Internet connection is slow.
- If your connection to re:Search is slow, try clearing your browser's cache/cookies first.
- Try accessing re:Search via a smartphone that isn't connected to your local Wi-Fi network. If you can access re:Search (in part or in full) with no problems and the Internet connection doesn't appear to be slow, your local network settings/configuration could be the problem. If filing at work, you may then need to speak with your workplace's IT professional to resolve the issue.
